Get Copies for Your Waiting Room

Some physicians may not appreciate the wisdom (based on current cutting-edge research) in this small easily readable book but I think a copy should be in every waiting room of all physicians. In fact, I have ordered several copies to give to patients who need an easily understandable overview of why hormone balance is important and how elimination of stress along with exercise, and good diet and appropriate bio-identical medications and/or supplements can help to restore energy and a sense of wellbeing and health to the patient. How can one not afford this book; it's the least you can do for your patients.

HI, The book has detailed information that is very helpful. It has the basics of how stress can affect the body. It tells how hormones affect us..too high or low and how it can affect the bones etc. Celiac can cause stress due to low absorption of nutrients due to gluten/low Vit D3. Stress uses up more B vitamins and zinc. Celiac people maybe low in good minerals/nutrients. Celiac may cause many health issues. Stress may get health issues started also. Gluten may make antibodies to the thyroid gland and hurt all glands...adrenals/pancreas etc. Stress raises cortisol..may lower thyroid. Exercise/sunlight/forgiving/releasing the past and more may help. It is a good book to show how one issue can lead to another health issue. Health also includes life style/love/purpose and much more.

A good book on stress, hormones, and your health

This is a lively book about how stress effects your body's hormones, and what that means to your health. The author, a practicing MD with a long background in integrative therapies, clearly defines the toxic role that stress hormones play in the body. Like vampires, they rob you of energy, wellness, and joy. Tinkering with hormone therapies may help, but Dr. Sault emphases that dealing with stress in your life is the way to overcome the malaise of modern living, and vanquish your emotional vampires. It's a fun read, not too technical, and presents positive and hopeful solutions for a happier life.
