Page turning and super sweet

I chose to give D.W. Collins Reforming Heather 5 stars for several reasons. The writing is easy to get into, so it was edited well. The story was very nice, warm, and dreamy. Often, a domestic discipline novel has the guy being a complete jerk and spanking for no real reason. This story did a good job with giving fair treatment to Heather. I also liked that Heather was a smart yet innocent character. The only thing that slightly caught me off guard is Steven Baxter being not very romantic in the final love scene, as Steven should a great deal of warmth during most of the book. This is a great read and I consider it to be one of the best stories in this department, I will read more from DW Collins for sure. Hats off!

alot better than i thought it would be

i really like this authors other books but i was hesitant to read this because i thought that the girl heather would be treated badly in the begining i thought steve was a jerk he was so bossy and demanding but by the end of the book he changed into a man who was very likable and loving. the story had great characters and steamy sex.

About the Author
Dr. Stout has more than 20 years of petroleum and coal industry experience. He specializes in chemical compositions of fuel-derived sources of contamination in terrestrial and marine environments, which includes crude oil, coal, gasoline and other substances. His research has been used for decision making by the United States Departments of Justice and Defense, and by the forest products, utility, railroad, wood treatment, maritime shipping, port operations, and oil and gas industries. Dr. Stout has authored or co-authored nearly 120 scientific papers and edited a textbook on the environmental forensics aspects of maritime oil spills.

Dr. Zhendi Wang is a senior research scientist and Head of Oil Spill Research of Environment Canada, working in the oil and toxic chemical spill research field. His specialties and research interests include: development of oil spill fingerprinting and tracing technology, environmental forensics of oil spill; oil properties, fate and behavior of oil and other hazardous organics in the environment; oil burn emission and products study; oil bioremediation; identification and characterization of oil hydrocarbons; and, spill treatment studies; applications of modern analytical techniques (such as GC, GC/MS, HPLC, LC/MS, SFE and SFC, and IC) to oil spill studies and other environmental science and technology.
Dr. Wang has continually and extensively led and been involved in various scientific projects, technology transfer, and national and international cooperative researches with the total funding over 3 million dollars. He has authored over 270 academic publications including 72 peer-reviewed articles and 4 invited reviews in the most respected journals in the environmental science and chemistry, and 8 books and book chapters. The productivity, excellence and achievements of Dr. Wang have established him as a national and international “leading authority on the topic”. He has won a number of national and international scientific honours and awards. Wang is also a member of America Chemical Society (ACS), the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC), and the International Society of Environmental Forensics.

Good book on valuing stocks

The book is one of a series by Morningstar. This particular describes the various accounting sheets (balance, income, etc.) used. It has two quite worthwhile chapters on economic moats and management quality. This is a good reference for investors trying to determine quality and value in a company.
Some of the accounting sheets printed lightly, and with the small print, are hard to read. The only other recommendation would be to have an index.

Learn how to pick stocks like a pro

This book takes readers to the next level of stock market investing after the previous book, How to Get Started in Stocks. Morningstar's philosophy to stock investing is based on Warren Buffett's teachings - buy great companies that earn high returns on capital, are protected by moats or competitive advantages, and are bought at good prices. This book teaches investors how to find economic moats, analyze financial statements, and value companies to determine if they should be purchased.

This book also has a quiz and worksheet at the end of each chapter. Since the book is written by Morningstar, it references the company throughout the book. Morningstar offers subscription services to individual investors who can get access to analyst reports and opinions of value on individuals companies. In addition to reading this book, I recommend their subscription.

Overall a great book. Was a little more elementary than I thought so I gave it as a Christmas present. For someone without extensive experience and knowledge IRT stock picking, this is the BEST place to start. Morningstar is always great.

Super Romantic Adventure

Craving something different? Juliette Sobanet has created a thriller of a romance and intrigue, one that will keep you from sleep and rest - in a good, satisfying way! I especially enjoyed the twists and turns, even when it seemed too confusing. The threads all came together in a great climax and satisfying read. I highly recommend this novel!

Good plot, weak chemistry

The only thing that kept me turning pages was the plot. I was constantly questioning what was happening and why they were happening. So that was the good part of the story. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. And in a time traveling murder mystery that is a very good thing.

The weak part of the story was the characterization of Jill and Samuel. I felt that Jill's relationship with her sister was much stronger and more interesting than her relationship with Samuel. You could practically paint by numbers their progress through the story. Nothing interesting or unexpected between those two. I actually skimmed through a lot of their romantic dialogue because it was kind of boring.

So without giving out any spoilers I would just say expect no big surprises in regards to the romantic aspect of this book, but enjoy the actual time travel parts.

Really like the book.

However, not so excited about the Kindle Serial experience. Receiving very short chapters, once weekly just isn't my cup of tea. I prefer to devour books in short periods of time! Probably won't try another serial book.....
