" Hang the Dogs " a successful undertaking of the Balangiga conflict.

Nearly twelve months ago I had a desire to read this book. I discovered the Balangiga Massacre incident while reading another book and needed a source to update and expand my knowledge. Being in Australia it was very hard to purchase a copy and so I contacted Mr. Bob Couttie who immediately sent me a copy by email.

This book has lived up to my expectations and not only discusses in length this incident but also the whole Filipino-American War. I am happy to say that my knowledge of this conflict increased rapidly upon reading this book.

There is a need especially with the Filipino people themselves to learn about this proud achievement by the Warays of Samar as it will generate a much needed pride from a one sided conflict.

The Kindle version will access this great work easily and I will recommend it to all my Filipino friends in Australia.

Also a great read.

well researched book, and worth reading, if you think you know what happened in Balangiga, then compare notes with this book, you might find that you don't know much about it as you think you do.

Invaluable for understanding Philippine-American War, or even the problems of occupation in any conflict

Hang the Dogs was an INVALUABLE source for my own research on the Balangiga Conflict. Not only did Mr. Couttie dig into primary sources, but his interviews of descendants gave depth and color to a story that is tragic on both sides. He is careful to be objective, and by doing so he honors both American and Filipino victims. This book holds pride of place on my bookshelf, and I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to understand the Philippine-American War, or the problems of occupation in any conflict, anywhere. Thank you, Bob Couttie!

Invaluable for new and seasoned youth leaders alike

Green was recommended to me by a fellow youth Pastor who said it was one of the best books he's read. I wasn't disappointed and agree that it's a great book. From the beginning to the end the author shares nuggets of wisdom, true stories from his time in ministry and truths from God's word about the journey anyone involved in youth ministry experiences. There isn't any candy-coating, the author gives real life examples of options for dealing with difficult situations in ministry. Additionally the book includes practical information helpful for anyone involved in youth ministry including boundaries, speaking to teens and many other topics.

Having worked in youth ministry for about 10 years I wasn't sure whether I would glean much from this book. I definitely did and have already re-read portions of it. This will be one of the books I keep close to me to keep me fresh and remembering the important things we tend to lose sight of in the busy-ness of ministry. The author says it best "God cares so much more about you and your relationship with him than he does your personal ministry." Green is not just a book about pragmatics, it's a book about the heart of God from the perspective of one who has walked the path.

the truth will set you free

I have read many christian books by many authors; the best always honor Christ and who we are in Him. The Book Green by Rodney Wardwell exemplifies that truth. It is a true journey of a life found in Christ and a direction that lead Rodney to a life of commitment which in turn will lead others to the feet of Jesus. Youth pastors are sorely needed to help teenagers find that life in Christ.It is the way not only to salvation, but to a fulfilled life of service that will bring peace and joy to those willing to take that step of faith. The leaders are the first to need this valuable insight and understanding of this truth. Jesus never promised that the cross would not be heavy, but His burden is light and his yoke is easy. Rodney demonstrates, through his journey, the joy and the heartache that can only be successful when it is for the cause of Christ and Christ alone. Rodney correctly states biblically, to count the cost, to choose life in Christ or to reject His offer of salvation. This is a great read for all who seek and desire a closer walk with Jesus. I highly recommend "The Book Green"

This Is A MUST Read

This book captures a great picture of life in student ministry. The BEST part about this book is that it is so insanely practical. Too often we read books by youth pastors from huge churches and leave feeling like, "Yea, if I had 1,500 students I could pull some of this stuff off too." That's not true with "Green." There isn't a single aspect of this book that you couldn't begin implementing in your student ministry today. Whether you've been in youth ministry for 10+ years or today is your first day on the job, I'd recommend grabbing this book and taking the time to read and apply it. You won't be sorry.

Finally something different!!!!!!!

I loved, loved, loved the futuristic matchmaking. It was unique twist and even as far fetched as the idea may seem you end up having faith in it and it making sense. Most heroine's insecurities are just for the storyline but Haven's was justifiable and normally when I'm reading a book with a heroine with insecurity issues I'm rolling my eyes and groaning for the heroine to get a clue but not with Haven, after what Scott, I would be beyond insecure too. But Scott was up for the challenge and was willing to do anything to redeem himself. I love that the writer didn't make it easy for him and the harder he fought the more I found myself cheering for him. I read this book from start to finish never taking a break. The author did a great job on physical descriptions of the characters, as well as their emotional state. This was a great storyline and a great read. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because some of it seemed rush. The writer drew us in within the first few pages but held out in different places in the story when more could've been detailed, like when Scott hurt himself and Haven nurtured him back to health. That's where they were beginning to fall in love but we had to be told that's how they bonded instead of reading about it in detail and seeing it unfold for ourselves. I will be reading the other Bioexpa books too. I've never been into the eharmony thing but after reading this book I'd be the first to sign up for Bioexpa if it actually existed. Haven and Scott's love definitely seemed everlasting and who doesn't want that?

There is no doubt about why I've been in love with Thayer King's writing since 2010/2011. I first read the few books she had out then and I've been loyal since. Scott and Haven! I loved it! I loved them. They were hot! There were a few grammatical issues but they didn't draw me away from the book. Loved it!

This is by far is my favorite out of all the stories in the Bioexpa series

Miss. King did it again! This is by far is my favorite out of all the stories in the Bioexpa series. I was hooked just after reading the synopsis & preview. It was well worth the money. The book was raunchy & hot. The chemistry between the two main characters was off the chart. I was actually sad to finish the book because i wanted more but all good things must come to an end. There were a few grammatical errors but nothing that would take away from the story.I woud definitely recommend this book. Can't wait to see what story comes next.

Don't buy this book if you bought the 2014 New GED Test Strategies, Practice and Review by Kaplan. The math section is identical and offers no new insight after a year of testing students with the 2014 test.

KAPLAN IS THE BEST GED PREP GUIDE, HOWEVER THE FULL VERSION HAS THE SAME TEXT

I think the Kaplan GED prep materials are the best, though I see value in all the major guides. If you are only taking the math test, this is your book. However, if you are taking more than one of the four tests for the GED, buy the full version. As far as I can tell this is identical to the material in the full version. Amazon's price for these 780 pages tomes is very reasonable, the lower price I have found. Best wishes to you in your GED studies. If you are planning to take, you are doing a good thing for yourself.

A few years ago I was introduced to this book as the new owner of a toy store. I can honestly say that this book has changed my life and the world around me. It is simply the best gift that you can give to someone. I have witnessed people pick up this book and shed a tear while reading it. It touches you. People buy it for newborns, children graduating from kindergarten,grandchildren,highschool graduation,college graduation,you name it. The painted rock fish in this book inspire the reader to look at life around them and see the world through new inspired eyes. It encourages you to make this world a better place. The children at one of our local elementary schools have lined the front entry to their school with painted rock fish dedicated to Linda Kranz and her book. The words from this book are etched in metal for everyone to read as they enter the school. How many books inspire this in a community? Only One You is truely the best gift that you can give.

Beautiful book for children with a great message!

I love this book! It has a great message about being an individual while not telling kids how unrealistically special they are. I don't like books that tell kids that they are more special than others, etc. This one talks about how sometimes you need to stand out and sometimes you need to fit in. I think it is the perfect balance of teaching kids that it's okay to be different and it's okay to be the same, so long as you stay true to who you are.

I liked this book so much that I bought Linda Kranz's other book You Be You. I love that one, too!

This is a beautiful book with reminders for your child that there is no one out there like them. That they are unique and amazing. I bought this for my daughter's teachers to sign at the end of the school year. She has just finished 7th grade, so we are getting a late start on this. I plan on giving this to her on the day of her 12th grade graduation.
